How Teraike Foundation was born

The Teraike Foundation was created in 2016 by the Palma Matetic family, whose history is deeply rooted in Magallanes. Descended from Croatian and Spanish immigrants who arrived in the region at the end of the 19th century, they have witnessed how a good education is key to the comprehensive development of men and women who become responsible citizens contributing to society.

This is why they decide, through education, to contribute to the development of the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region, the southernmost and largest region of the national territory, made up of the provinces: Magallanes, Última Esperanza, Tierra del Fuego and Antártica
