With the support of Gasco Magallanes, literacy tutoring sessions conclude at the España school
Barbara López, Coordinator of Tutors at Fundación Letra Libre, indicated that as the students interacted with their tutors, “they began to gain more confidence, forming a bond with them, and some even want to continue in classes, to continue learning.”

A total of 12 students from first to third grade of the Escuela España were accompanied by tutors during 2024 with the purpose of leveling their knowledge in reading and writing in an initiative promoted by Fundación Teraike and taught by Fundación Letra Libre that was made possible thanks to the support of GASCO Magallanes.
Students and their families participated in the closing ceremony of the tutoring and mentoring program, which took place on Friday, December 6th at the school. The school's principal, Bernardita Hurtado, expressed her gratitude for the program, stating, "They have shown great dedication and care towards our students. It establishes a bond between the tutors and the children, which is important."
Victoria Vega, Education Coordinator at the Teraike Foundation, explained that the program provided support to children who were struggling with reading. “The tutors were primarily employees of GASCO Magallanes,” she noted, adding that “public-private partnerships allow us to provide real and concrete support for student learning and the efforts of teachers in the classroom.”
